Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our facilities team as a Building Maintenance Helper. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our school buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and in working order. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing a variety of manual labor tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and cleaning of buildings and equipment.

This position plays a vital role in ensuring our school buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and in working order. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing a variety of manual labor tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and cleaning of buildings and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in cleaning, window washing, floor scrubbing, and general upkeep of buildings.
- Check boilers to ensure correct operation.
- Perform minor carpentry work (e.g., furniture repair).
- Prepare surfaces and assist with interior painting.
- Maintain grounds, including mowing lawns and trimming shrubs.
- Replace light bulbs and fuses.
- Clean lavatories and polish metal fixtures.
- Assist with snow and ice removal.
- Maintain tools and mechanical equipment.
- May operate light vehicles and maintenance equipment.
Qualifications:
- At least one (1) year of experience in general manual labor.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Working knowledge of basic building maintenance tools and practices.
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina are required to perform duties.
- Must be in good physical condition.
